Hongzhou Dong recently joined CEEE as a Faculty Research Assistant in to conduct research in computational fluid dynamics, simulation, and software development for ISOC. An experienced researcher, he has spent 11 years developing simulation software and has conducted research of heat exchangers and thermal systems.

Before joining CEEE, he worked in industrial companies in China, including the Sanhua R&D Center, the Danfoss-Sanhua Micro Channel Heat Exchanger Company, and Carrier (in Shanghai).

Mr. Dong has M.S. degree in Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a B.S. in  Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University. His dissertation, "Heat exchanger digitized design, based on graph theory and artificial intelligence", earned second place in the Shanghai Science and Technology Award in 2009. He holds several patents on heat exchangers and heat pump systems.

He is  married, has a two-year old son, and enjoys traveling. He has visited nearly every province in China and more than 10 states in the USA, and several countries in Asia and Europe.
